Mykonos Windmills
The Windmills have been a landmark of the island since the 16th century. They are located southerner of country and look towards the sea. The Windmills used to be a main part of the island’s activity and Mykonos used to be a major supplier of refined grain and flour. After the industrialisation the number of windmills began to decline and today exist only 7, which however continue with their light blue colour to stand imposingly in the island.
