Archaeological Museum
The Museum is open every day from 8:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m, except Mondays and on major public holidays.
The archaeological museum is located in the city of Mykonos, near the harbor. It allocates a unique collection of sculptures, ceramic and jewels which were emanated from excavations in Mykonos, in Delos and in Renia. The museum is also famous for the great collection of vases, representative of the distinctive Cycladic ceramic art, some of which date back to the Geometric period back to the 6th century b.c.
Mykonos Folklore Museum
The Folklore Museum is ideally located in Kastro neighborhood of Mykonos, in close proximity to Paraportiani. It is worth visiting, in order to admire the enormous collection from keys, hand-made clothing, embroideries, photographs and gravures, old furniture and tools.There are also import archives of manuscripts and printed matter, photographs, maps and a significant library. There are six main exhibition halls. It is open from April to October daily (16:30-20:30) except Sundays.
Aegean Maritime Museum
The Aegean Maritime Museum of Mykonos opened its doors in 1985 and it is housed in a traditional Cycladic building of the 19th century in Mykonos. Is is located in the centre of city, near the region Three Wells and it is unique for somebody that is interested for the naval tradition of island. In the naval museum you can found models from rowing boats, travelling boats and all kinds of ship from the pre-Minoan Period up to 19th century as well as a variety of maritime instruments. It is open daily from 10:30 to 13:00 and from 18:30 to 21:00, from April to October.
